Gala Apple

The Gala apple is is one of the most widely grown apple varieties in the U.S. The Gala is a smaller apple which is mostly red with a portion that is green or yellow-green. The apple features a crisp flesh and a delicious sweet and tangy flavor. The Gala apple is great for eating fresh, making apple sauce and making apple juice or cider. The apples from a Gala will store well for up to 3 months after harvest as long as they are kept refrigerated. While somewhat self-fertile, the Gala apple will produce a larger crop when pollinated with another apple variety.
